TifiAMO Positivo is a project designed to encourage and engage youth to promote a positive culture of cheering in sport. Implemented by Save the Dream in partnership with the Italian Olympic Committee, Italian Ministry of Education, United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute, and the Italian Football Federation, the project encompassed a national competition for high school students to produce original multimedia works showcasing their vision and approach to positive cheering in sport.

Piloted in Italy in 2014, TifiAMO Positivo seeks to inspire youth to play an active role in defining a more positive culture of participation in sport, as fans and lovers of the game. TifiAMO Positivo was designed to encourage youth to engage with sport in a more constructive manner, combating violence and aggression with respect, tolerance and healthy competition. Through intercultural exchange programmes and involvement in on-the-ground projects, Save the Dream aims to inspire and unite young people through sport, as well as teaching the foundation of ethics and values which can be applied in their lives.

The first two prize winners took part in a study visit to Brazil during the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ during which they observed the implementation of “It’s in your hands to protect”, a joint campaign between Save the Dream, UNICEF and the Secretariat on Human Rights focused on child protection during major sporting events. The model of TifiAMO Positivo is expected to be implemented in other European countries, beginning with Spain and Portugal, in 2015.
