Biography

Mohammed Hanzab is the Chairman of the International Centre for Sport Security (ICSS) – an organisation he established in 2010. As a leading player in sport safety, security and integrity; Mohammed Hanzab has rapidly built up the ICSS which now has a respected global reputation for excellence and expertise across the worlds of sport and government. Mr. Hanzab is also former President of the Qatar International Academy for Security Studies (QIASS).

After graduating from the British Royal Air Force College, Cranwell; his strong career with the military includes serving as Lieutenant Colonel in the Qatar Armed Forces, Commander of the Qatar Air Defence School and working at the Qatar Air Defence Project and the Qatar Information Agency.

In his role as Chairman of the ICSS, he is now advising and working with a number of governmental and non-governmental and sport organisations as well as being focused on the development of much-needed research with leading academic organisations – all as part of his commitment to fulfil his mission for the ICSS to be a service to sport and to play a central advisory role in keeping sport safe, secure and fair.
