Protecting the future of sport on a global scale is an ambition that can only be achieved through strong partnerships and effective collaboration. Having the opportunity to share our mission to key influencers is vital to the progress of our work – as it’s through building relationships and delivering our message that we can take vital steps towards ending violence, corruption and discrimination in sport.

Our Annual Dinner at London’s Banqueting House gave us an opportunity to showcase our work to an international audience of distinguished individuals. As part of 2014’s Securing Sport Conference, the evening was attended by a number of dignitaries and athletes as well as ambassadors for both UNICEF and Save the Dream. The event provided a wonderful space to exhibit the spectacular images from our inspiring ‘Noites do Brasil’ photography project, and a platform to welcome speakers on the subject of youth empowerment.

“Wouldn’t it be amazing if all children could play and practice sports in a safe and inclusive way? This goal would be easier to achieve if every athlete, sports fan and minister of sport would team up and commit to this goal.”

Nicole Regnier, UNICEF Colombia National Ambassador

It was a special and inspiring occasion that paid tribute to the true essence of sport – and a chance to truly celebrate the progress and achievements made to date.
