A photographic collection of more than 100 images made by Magnum photographers in the twelve Brazilian World Cup host cities.

Magnum Photos with Save the Dream — Noites do Brasil is a collection of more than 100 photographs made by Magnum photographers in the twelve host cities of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Conceived with the photographic agency Magnum Photos, the collection was made to remind people of the values sport carries and the humanity around it, at a moment when the world’s attention was on Brazil. Rather than concentrating on stadiums and matches, the photographers turned to the life of the streets around the tournament.

They captured friendship, innocence and passion in the streets of Brazil, in deliberate contrast with the violence, corruption and discrimination that threaten sport. The project grew out of the campaign launched with UNICEF during the 2014 World Cup, and gives that campaign a lasting visual record — a reminder of what sport means to the people who live with it every day, far from the headlines that so often surround the game.
