Sport integrity lessons for school students across Qatar, delivered through the national Schools Olympic Program.
The Schools Olympic Program is an annual initiative of the Qatar Olympic Committee, the Supreme Education Council, the Qatar School Sport Federation and the Qatar Paralympics Committee, held in Qatar since 2007. Each edition is built around a theme, giving schools a shared focus for the year.
Under the 2013–2014 theme “Sport and Integrity”, Save the Dream worked with the Qatar Anti-Doping Commission, the Anti-Doping Laboratory Qatar and the Ministry of Interior to offer lessons, activities and workshops on doping, match-fixing and corruption in sport, with materials tailored to primary, preparatory and secondary students.
The programme reached 26,454 students across 401 schools, making integrity education part of the school year rather than a specialist topic reserved for elite athletes. By introducing these issues early, it aimed to build an understanding of fair play that students would carry with them into sport and beyond. Tailoring the materials by age meant that the same message could be delivered in a form each group could understand and use.
