A cooperation agreement sharing knowledge and resources to improve children’s and young people’s experience of sport.

iCoachKids — Cooperation on Coach Education — brings Save the Dream together with an initiative dedicated to the coaching of children and young people. The cooperation agreement, in place since 2017, recognises that the quality of a young person’s experience of sport depends heavily on the adults who coach them.

iCoachKids and Save the Dream share closely related objectives on the health, wellbeing and participation of children and young people in sport and physical activity. Both start from the view that sport should be a positive, healthy and welcoming experience for young participants, and that good coaching is central to making it so.

The cooperation promotes exchange between researchers and practitioners, joint development and use of international resources and materials, and closer links between the networks each organisation serves. Rather than duplicating effort, the two organisations draw on each other’s expertise and reach, so that knowledge and resources travel further among coaches and the organisations that support them.
